The Schoolhouse to Hold Annual Mother’s Day Brunch Bag Fundraiser
For just $25, you can
have a delicious brunch delivered in a bag by 10:30 on Sunday morning, May 11,
to your favorite mom or special person.
Brunch bags may also be donated as tax-deductible gifts to residents of
COTS, Cathedral Square,Women Helping Battered Women shelter, Respite House or
the Lund Home.
Each Brunch Bag contains two croissants and two rolls freshly baked that
morning, a pint of strawberries, four chocolate truffles, a wedge of brie
cheese, a lovely rose, and a personalized card – all attractively packaged and
delivered on Sunday, May 11.
Brunch bags aren’t just for moms – they are frequently given as “Happy
Spring!” gifts to dads, sisters, brothers, kids, friends, neighbors,
sweethearts, relatives, teachers, co-workers, bosses, grandparents, doctors,
daycare providers, clergy or favorite politicians!
Towns eligible for delivery include Burlington, Charlotte, Colchester,
Essex/Essex Junction, Hinesburg, Huntington, Jericho, Richmond, Shelburne,
South Burlington, St. George, Williston and Winooski.
The sale of Brunch Bags supports The Schoolhouse scholarship program, which
helps the school to fulfill its mission of providing a quality education in
a cooperative, nurturing community to children from economically and
culturally diverse backgrounds. Each
year, the school holds two fundraisers:
the Spring/Mother’s Day Brunch Bag fundraiser and an amaryllis bulb
sale in the fall. Thanks to the
popularity of these two events, the scholarship fund distributed over
$22,000 last year.
